Who we are

Deep Money Minds (www.deepmoneyminds.com) is a personal finance website with free calculators, backtesting tools and articles for Indian investors. It is run by Kuldeep Singh. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Deep Money Minds. Questions about your privacy can be sent to kuldeep@deepmoneyminds.com.

The short version

• No accounts, no sign-up, no forms. We never ask for your name, phone number, PAN or bank details.
• Your statements stay on your device. The GPay and PhonePe analyzers read your file inside your browser; the file is never uploaded.
• We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Both use cookies. Details and opt-outs are below.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools people use, so we know what to improve. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and records things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, your device and browser type, the site that referred you, and your approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address). We see this only as aggregated reports — it does not tell us who you are.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads through Google AdSense. This is how the tools stay free.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
• If you opt out, you will still see ads — they will just be less related to your interests.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message (provided by Google) before advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.

Your files in our statement analyzers

The GPay Statement Analyzer and PhonePe Statement Analyzer read the statement you choose using code that runs inside your browser. Your file is not uploaded to our server or anyone else's, and nothing from it is saved after you close the page.

One exception — AI insight (optional). The GPay analyzer has an optional "AI insight" button. Only if you click it, a short summary is sent to our server to generate the insight: your total amount sent and received, the date range, and your top 10 payees and top 5 senders by name with their totals. Individual transactions, UPI IDs, phone numbers and the file itself are never sent. If you don't click the button, nothing leaves your device.

Calculators and fund tools

Calculators (SIP, EMI, lumpsum, goal planner and others) run entirely in your browser. Tools that need market data — such as the MF Backtester, MF Comparer and Portfolio Builder — fetch fund NAVs and prices from our own servers. Those requests contain only the fund or stock you asked about, not information about you. We do not store which funds you look at against any identity.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these only to keep the site secure and working — for example, to limit automated scraping of our data tools. Logs are not used for advertising and are deleted on a rolling basis.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links. When you click one, the partner (for example, EarnKaro) may set its own cookie to record the referral. Their handling of your data is covered by their own privacy policy. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Links to other websites

We link to sources such as AMFI, SEBI, NSE, mfapi.in and YouTube. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites; please read their policies when you visit them.

Children

This site is meant for adults making their own financial decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Because we don't ask for your name, email or other identifying details, we generally hold no personal data that can be linked to you. Analytics and advertising data is held by Google — you can view and control it through your Google account and the opt-outs above. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; if you are in the EU or UK, under the GDPR. To ask a question or make a request, email kuldeep@deepmoneyminds.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
